Marco Chavarin and Darrell Christoff Join CCCS in Key Leadership Positions

San Francisco, CA (February 12, 2015) - Consumer Credit Counseling of San Francisco (CCCS) announces the appointment of Marco Chavarin to the position of Vice President, Development, and Darrell Christoff to the role of Chief Information Officer. Both executives bring a wealth of experience and expertise to CCCS as it expands its leadership in the personal financial wellness and literacy space.

Chavarin, a nationally recognized industry expert in financial education, will oversee new local and national development activity for community relations, community education, and grants. He will also focus on product development and expansion of financial wellness initiatives for key stakeholders.

Chavarin was formerly the Financial Access and Education Manager for the San Francisco Treasurer’s Office of Financial Empowerment, where he focused on connecting low-income San Franciscans to financial products and education, as well as managing Bank on San Francisco and Payday Plus SF programs. Prior to that, he served as the Financial Services Manager for Earned Assets Resource Network (EARN). He is the recipient of multiple financial service awards and holds roles as a co-chair and board of director for several financial services and housing organizations. Chavarin received his Bachelor of Science in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis.

Christoff joins CCCS as CIO with more than 20 years of information technology experience, including a successful track record helping companies adopt emerging technologies and implement standards, procedures, and processes that improve business functionality. He also brings an extensive background in developing strategies for managed organizational growth and using technology to address and solve business issues.

 “Darrell is the right IT leader at the right time to help CCCS adopt next-generation technologies and help launch new digital innovations in the personal finance and wellness arena. With his deep background in helping companies manage slow and steady growth, along with his ability to understand complex IT issues, he will help place us at the forefront of our industry.”

Christoff said,  “I’m excited to join CCCS and help the company take on new and emerging technologies. With an optimized IT infrastructure in place, the company is poised to bring new personal finance innovations to the mainstream and help even more people achieve financial wellness.”

Prior to joining CCCS, he was CIO of Tri-City Health Center and has also served in technology leadership roles at Siemens, Alameda County Medical Center, and other San Francisco Bay Area companies. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco has been providing financial education and counseling to our local community and nationwide since 1969.
