San Francisco, CA (April 10, 2014) - The Board of Directors of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco (CCCS) announced today that they have selected Kathryn Davis to succeed Joanne Budde as President, effective May 1, 2014.  Davis currently serves as Senior Vice President of Xceed Financial Credit Union in El Segundo, California.  Davis, as Senior Vice President has been instrumental in helping lead and manage this $823 million financial institution with over 67,000 members and 15 financial centers in six states.

“Kathryn is a well-known and highly respected industry leader with a proven record of delivering strong operating results.  The board saw Kathryn as a great fit to continue CCCS’ tradition of developing and implementing financial solutions to help individuals and families build wealth and achieve their short and long-range financial goals” said Kenneth Crone, Board Chair.

"I am excited and looking forward to the opportunity of serving as President of CCCS of San Francisco. This organization is highly regarded as a leader in providing quality education and counseling to help families achieve financial independence,” said Kathryn Davis.

Joanne Budde, who has served as President of CCCS since 1991, announced her planned retirement last September in order to give the board ample time to conduct an executive search.  “We’ve been very fortunate to have had someone of Joanne’s caliber lead this organization,” Crone continued.  “Her passion for helping consumers weather tough economic times, as well as helping them plan for a sound financial future is reflected in the many programs we’ve developed over the years.”

“It’s truly been an honor to serve as President of CCCS.  We have an involved and diverse Board of Directors, and a staff that is committed to making a difference every day in the lives of those who turn to us for help and hope in dealing with their finances.  I’ll miss them all very much but I know that they and the organization will continue to flourish and innovate with Kathryn Davis, “said Budde.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco has been providing financial education and counseling to our local community and nationwide since 1969.
